CLEVELAND NATIONAL AIR SHOW CHARITABLE FOUNDATION
The Cleveland National Air Show Charitable Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation formed by the Trustees of the Cleveland National Air Show to preserve Cleveland’s rich aviation heritage and promote the advancement of aviation.
Major Projects
Marjorie Rosenbaum Aviation Plaza
Open year round and free to the public, Marjorie Rosenbaum Aviation Plaza is located in downtown Cleveland at the entrance to Burke Lakefront Airport.
The plaza opened in 1997 and is a dramatic tribute to Cleveland’s prominence during the “Golden Age of Aviation” when it hosted the National Air Races (1929-1949) and current role as the location of one of the longest running air shows in the United States (1964-present).
The plaza is within walking distance from the International Women’s Air & Space Museum, Great Lakes Science Center and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
Aviation Scholarships
Since 2000, the Cleveland National Air Show Charitable Foundation, Inc. has awarded $120,500 to local students pursuing aviation-related degrees.
2003 Centennial of Powered Flight Gala presented by Parker Hannifin
Hosted by the Cleveland National Air Show Charitable Foundation, NASA Glenn Research Center and Parker Hannifin Corporation, the 2003 Air Show Weekend kicked off with a black-tie event at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Cleveland. Aviation greats John Glenn, Jim Lovell and Gene Kranz were on hand to celebrate the 100th year of powered flight.
